Peer Review Process

INTI TALAFA employs a strict Double-Blind Peer Review process for all submitted manuscripts. Throughout the review process, the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept strictly confidential to ensure an objective, fair, and unbiased evaluation.

The review process follows these standard procedures:

  1. Initial Screening: Upon submission, the Editorial Team conducts a preliminary evaluation to ensure the manuscript aligns with the journal's focus and scope, adheres to the author guidelines (IMRaD format), and passes the plagiarism check (maximum 20% similarity threshold). Manuscripts failing this stage will be returned to the authors or desk-rejected.

  2. Peer Review Assignment: Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent, anonymous experts in the relevant field of Computer Science and Informatics.

  3. Evaluation Process: Reviewers objectively evaluate the scientific quality, originality, methodology, clarity of presentation, and significance of the research. The standard review process typically takes 4 to 8 weeks.

  4. Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' comprehensive feedback and recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision. The possible decisions are:

    • Accepted without revisions

    • Revisions required (Minor or Major)

    • Rejected

Authors are given a specific timeframe to revise and resubmit their manuscripts based on the reviewers' comments. The final acceptance of any manuscript is solely the prerogative of the Editor-in-Chief.
