Prevention of plagiarism is essential to maintain scientific and academic integrity. Therefore, JIK UMC uses Turnitin software to detect and control plagiarism in submitted manuscripts. The editors of JIK UMC will conduct plagiarism screening before manuscripts are forwarded to reviewers. The journal will not process manuscripts containing plagiarized content.

If the Turnitin similarity index exceeds 20%, the manuscript will be returned to the author for revision before further processing.

It is the responsibility of authors to ensure that submitted manuscripts are entirely free from plagiarism and academic misconduct. Nevertheless, the editors will recheck each manuscript before publication. The plagiarism screening process includes checking against the journal’s internal database as well as various relevant online databases and sources.
