Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of power point learning media in increasing student interest in learning at SDN Bima, Cirebon City. The research method used is qualitative by collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the use of power point media had a positive impact on increasing students' interest and enthusiasm for learning. Students show active and enthusiastic participation in learning by using power point, especially in learning about the mutual cooperation lifestyle. Power point media succeeded in bringing learning closer with innovative approaches and providing interesting variations. Learning media, including power points, have an important role in explaining material and conveying information messages to students. However, there are still obstacles in the application of instructional media, such as a lack of understanding of technology by teachers and a lack of adequate technological facilities in elementary schools. Nonetheless, the use of power point media in learning at SDN Bima Cirebon City has succeeded in increasing student interest in learning.
