DESAIN STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN IPA DI SMP UNTUK MEMBEKALKAN KARAKTER ILMIAH KEPADA SISWA
Abstract
Scientific characters are a hallmark of what students have to do after learning the science, so it is necessary to have the right learning strategies to supply them. Therefore, this study aims to develop a learning design to provide scientific character in the learning of science that can be implemented by teachers. This research was carried out through the study of several policy documents, theories, and the results of the research with descriptive method. The design of the study program developed consists of a description of the steps of learning preparation, its implementation, and its assessment. Based on the results of the study, the design of the program is developed using a three-step strategy of characterization, namely 1) moral knowing; 2) moral feeling; and 3) moral action. The three stages are implemented at all stages of learning. At the preparatory stage, teachers need to prepare the media and develop appropriate learning steps to introduce their scientific character and benefits. In the implementation stage, teachers need to explain, model and familiarize students to consistently carry out scientific characters. Teachers also need to understand and apply the character assessment during learning to give feedback to their students. Developed strategies can be applied in learning.
