KAJIAN EMPIRIS PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN ETNOSAINS DALAM PEMBELAJARAN KIMIA TERHADAP PENINGKATAN LIFE SKILL PESERTA DIDIK
Abstract
Indonesia is the third largest archipelagic country in the world with 17,499 islands consisting of 34 provinces, with cultural differences consisting of tribes, religions and customs. In the globalization era which allows foreign culture to enter without filtering, then the students as the next generation act an important role in cultural preservation in the form of life skills education (Life Skill) based on ethno sciences in the learning process. This research method is literature study of science learning journals in which there are ethno science-based chemicals and life skill education journals. The conclusions in this research are: (1) The students’ interest in conducting ethno sciences based learning process is positively correlated to learners' learning outcomes. (2) Learning process based on ethno sciences in learning chemistry can improve the life skill ability of learners, namely: rational, vocational and scientific thinking skills.
