MANAJEMEN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER BERBASIS KEARIFAN LOKAL PADA PENDIDIKAN ANAK USIA DINI (PAUD) (Studi Kasus pada Kelompok Bermain Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyah Kota Cirebon)

Abstract

To produce the quality of graduates whose character is required management, good planning, implementation and effective supervision. This study aims to: (1) the application of character education based on local wisdom on early childhood education, and (2) to analyze the management of character education based on local wisdom on early childhood education.

Data collection techniques were conducted with (1) interviews, (2) participant observation, and (3) documentation. Data were analyzed by interactive model consisting of data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion. Result of research: (1) Values of character taught in Early Childhood Birth Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyah Cirebon city adopt kinship system which is one of local culture center of Cirebon City. The local wisdom of Cirebon people is derived from SGJ, especially the proverbs of the SGJ petitih which contains a broad and complex meaning, that is belief, discipline, wisdom and policy, politeness and manners and social life; and (2) Wisdom-based character education management includes planning, implementation and supervision.
