CEO Power and ESG: The Moderating Role of Gender Diversity in Indonesia

Tujuan Utama - Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji bagaimana kekuasaan CEO mempengaruhi kinerja ESG, dengan mempertimbangkan keberagaman gender dewan.
Temuan Utama - Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa Kekuasaan CEO berkontribusi secara positif dan signifikan terhadap ESG, dan bahwa tingkat kekuasaan CEO terkait dengan kinerja ESG perusahaan. Meskipun, keberagaman gender di dewan direksi diharapkan dapat memperkuat tata kelola yang inklusif dan mempromosikan praktik keberlanjutan, dalam konteks perusahaan Indonesia, pengaruh moderasi ini belum diamati secara statistik.
Implikasi Teori dan Kebijakan - Kekuasaan CEO secara signifikan meningkatkan kinerja ESG di perusahaan-perusahaan Indonesia, menyoroti pentingnya kepemimpinan yang mampu dalam memajukan langkah-langkah keberlanjutan. Namun, keberagaman gender dewan tidak secara signifikan memoderasi hubungan ini, kemungkinan karena proporsi rendah atau pengaruh terbatas perempuan di dewan direksi perusahaan.
Kebaruan Penelitian - Studi ini menawarkan bukti baru dari Indonesia bahwa meskipun kekuasaan CEO secara positif mempengaruhi kinerja ESG, keberagaman gender dewan tidak secara signifikan memoderasi hubungan ini, menunjukkan dampak terbatas karena rendahnya representasi atau pengaruh direktur wanita.
