PT.PG. Rajawali II Unit PG. Sindanglaut is a company engaged in the field of agro industry where processing sugarcane into sugar with a milling capacity of 1800 tons/hour. Previously PT. PG. Rajawali II Unit PG. Sindanglaut has never made productivity measurements. The company only calculates profit (profit from the sale of production as a measure of wether their productivity is good or not. Productivity is the correlation between output or production achieved with input or sources used Total productivity is the ratio of total output to all input factors that reflect the influence together with all inputs in the output, while partial hproductivity is the ratio of output to one of the input factors The total and partial productivity measurement used in this study is using David J. Sumanth method.
This productivity measurement includes labor, materials, energy and others. From the measurement conducted in 2007 is defined as the base period, other than that the data needed in this productivity measurement is data income statement, balance sheet, and inflation rate to determine the deflator. The result of productivity measurement in the form of value of indicator of achievement that shows the level of productivity in each period which ultimately obtained the value of productivity index. By conducting the evaluation, it can be known on how to increase or decrease the productivity and to know the factors causing the increase and decrease is then carried out the planning stage of productivity improvements.
To illustrate the relationship between total productivity and profitability from the results of the biased research, it is known that productivity factors have a bigger degradation than the price recovery to increase the profitability of the company over the period of three years of the measurement period. It takes effort to improve the profitability of the company for the coming period along with efforts to improve productivity that focuses on improving material productivity and capital productivity as inputs that greatly affect the profitability of the company in a sustainable way.
