Along with advances in technology and competition in the industry is getting tighter by encouraging companies to developing certain ideas to obtain effective and efficient in achieving the goals and objectives that have been set. In this study, the method used in the production process improvement efforts by using the Six Sigma approach that aims to identify product defects, determine the causes of disability and provide corrective suggestions for reducing product defects. From the results of the identification of defects are eight characteristics that sompal feet, rocking, powder, fingers crooked, loose, uneven color and bright colors. The average value obtained by the sigma sigma of 4.22 and an average of 3,344 DPMO. The cause of defective products is influenced by human factors, namely because the employees do not have the experience, the material factors is not maximized supplier selection, equipment factors, namely the lack of maintenance carried out, ie no factor method SOP and environmental factors, namely the lack of lighting.
