PENGARUH PENDEKATAN KONTEKSTUAL BERBASIS BUDAYA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA DI SDN 1 GETRAKMOYAN

The background of this research was low ability of students in critical thinking. The condition is caused by learning that is still conventional and does not involve students directly. The purpose of this study are 1) knowing the learning process by using a culture-based contextual approach 2) knowing students 'critical thinking skills after a culture-based contextual approach 3) knowing the effect of a culture-based contextual approach to students' critical thinking skills at SDN Getrakmoyan. The research approach used is a quantitative approach with an experimental method. The population in this study were all students of class V SDN 1 Getrakmoyan, amounting to 40 people. The sample in this study was 40 people. The instruments in this study were tests, questionnaires, and observations. Data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive statistical analysis and statistical inference analysis. The results showed that there was an influence between the contextual approach based on culture on students' critical thinking skills at SDN 1 Getrakmoyan indicated by the t test post test control data - post test experiments of t count (1,725) > t table (1,684). In other words Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, which means there are significant differences in post test results between the experimental group and the control group.
